Kyimolung is on the sacred and secret Buddhist pilgrimage circuit in the mountains around Tsum Valley in a 30 km radius of the Nepal-China (Tibet) border. This movie has only been publicly screened 3 times and was stored away for over twenty years. It is truly a special experience. This personal movie stream continues the charitable release of the film to raise funds for continuing awareness, repairs and general improvement of life at the monastery. Please enjoy this special movie and share with friends (Running time 43 minutes)!

Our next theatrical presentation for Kyimolung and this hidden area of the Himalayas will be in our board member Ron Ranson's home region of San Diego, CA, where we will show the first SoCal premiere.  Please watch for dates and place info!


Ron Ranson is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer who taught English in Nepal in the mid 1960s. Ron and his sons trekked in the Eastern part of the Tsum Valley (just east of Kyimolung) over Christmas - 2010.

i walked to Kyimolung in 1992 -at that time there was one Lama,Chirkinyma and one monk but the temple was finished-it was an absolutely beautiful and magical place-the Lama let me spend a day taking many slides of the thangkas-i wish i could have
